1960s Time Travel Manitoba Photoshoot
Come join me in seeing this 1960s Time Travel Manitoba Photoshoot, that was photographed in rural Ste. Anne. Several authentic 60s props plus a lovely hippie style client.
My client Lisa came to me with a vision of shooting an outdoor 1960s styled session.
I was super excited about this concept, as I hadn't done an outdoor session yet this year. Everything had been studio shot so far.
We chatted on the phone a few times and I came up with a groovy workflow.
All of the styling for this 1960s Time Travel Manitoba Photoshoot was created by me.
I had a number of 1960s styled clothing including the flared jeans and buckskin vest.
The pink round sunglasses were the perfect finishing touch.
In the above images, is an authentic 1968 Schwinn Bicycle with Banana Seat and Hi_Rise Handle bars.
Our shoot locations included a beautiful park that showcased the lovely Autumn colours.
A perfect setting for this groovy session.
We did the session around 2 pm, when the sun was high above and very hot. It also was quite windy out as well.
This is not an ideal situation for regular outdoor photographers, however I use Studio Lighting outdoors to assist in creating a professional looking image under any circumstances.
I received my Master Photographer designation this year from the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) - so I am an expert in consistently creating stunning images by controlling my light.
For this 1960s Time Travel Manitoba Photoshoot, I brought out the 1960 Vespa Motor Scooter. The colour went perfect with Lisa's outfit.
It was the perfect accessory for the Hippest hippie in town.
This Vespa is available for any client photo session where it fits the theme.
We were lucky enough to have the entire Ste. Anne Skate Board Park to ourselves for this session.
Had some cool poses and even added the L-O-V-E rings to Lisa's hand in one of the shots.
Those flared jeans look amazing - and I have sizes up to 15 for women.
If you grew up in the 1960s (like I did) - you would definitely remember reading the old Archie Comics.
This is an actual issue from the 60's and along with the Schwinn - just send you right back to that groovy era.
I remember spending many a Fall afternoons just sitting around reading those old comics.
Managed to catch the open sun in one of the above photos, just to give that hot hazy 60's feel.
Lisa was so in love with her final photos and ordered several Prints for herself. She also gave a 5 Star Google Review for my studio - which was much appreciated.
